Blessing of Pets

ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL will be welcome at St. Gregory School on Friday, October 4th at 2:30 p.m.for the Blessing of Animals on the front east lawn. Families may bring pets or pictures of pets for the blessing. This service commemorates the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, a 13th century Italian well-known for his hospitality to all non-human as well as human creatures. St. Francis believed that all are from God and should be treated with dignity and respect.
